Let's face it, this weekend is proof that the Sarah Palin's and Rush Limbaugh's of
America's political spectrum are on their way out! We are hearing the last gasps for breath from the Palin and Limbaugh fans, the cries of "injustice" as America ushers them out of the spectrum. America needs more sanity than either of these two icons of the right wing could ever provide. We need a way to work together, not a way to divide us ever more and again!

Time to say good-bye to Sarah's million dollar weekend jaunts down to the lower 48. Time to say there's more interesting radio on every day when Rush takes to the airwaves. Less sponsorship, less crowds at gatherings, more security, more hassles for Sarah taking her child into the crowds for her 20-30 minute book signings.......and less book sales too.

The age of the bigoted right wing is about over in America. Americans don't want to hear this anymore, they want results, not rhetoric. Try as they might, both Sarah and Rush can't get elected to anything, because they're really irrelevant.

Let's get them off stage, let's just use the hook, get them out of the Vaudville of American politics. Americans want real solutions, not hateful speech.

Join me in voting these media stars off the stage.........their time is over, their time has come to a close. Of course, they could re-invent themselves, do an Oprah thing, but I kind of doubt they will.

8. Well,
I designed it to use as my signature line for a while, and the limit is 500 pixels wide, so I started with a 500 x 100 pixel area. So it's already at the original size. We can have signature images which are 500 x 200, so it could be twice as tall as it is now. However, I wanted to be a little more polite and not take up any more screen space than necessary. So to answer your question, that's as big as it can be, unless I sat down and redesigned it.

12. Your utterly naive if you believe that...
These people aren't going anywhere. The Palin's, Hannity's, and Limbaugh's of the world will not be in any way damaged by this - particularly with nothing to actually link Loughner to them. Vile as they are, even with an actual direct link it wouldn't hurt them in the long term.

And for those who think calling on everyone to "change the tone" in effort to quiet them or shame them will have any positive effect, well, I suspect that strategy will completely backfire.

This tactic is only going to end up putting our side on record demanding a "change in tone", while they do nothing of the sort. It may well lead our advocates to self censor in an effort to avoid looking hypocritical after themselves calling on some ridiculous "change of the tone".

Politics is a nasty business, always has been, always will be. The tone isn't going to change till one side wins and their worldview is largely adopted. Thinking we are going to make any headway with demands that everyone "dial back the rhetoric" is a fools errand.

The tone doesn't need to be changed. What we need is MORE fierce advocates on our side. We need to counter and overwhelm them, not run around like crybabies whining about how harsh the tone of the debate is - something that probably isn't even a very good short term media spin tactic, let alone anything that would work in the long term.

13. I really welcome your reality check.......thanks! Maybe I'm too...
locked into my fantasies.

Rush gone, Palin gone.....nice fantasy I had...

You brought me back to reality, but I think there's enough recorded quotes of Palin and Rush, they just MIGHT be gone by the next election.........no, I'm not as innocent and stupid as you make out......but I wish what I said were true.

14. The republicans and their media people will push harder on the threats, and the hate messages
because the tactics are working for them. People are already talking about security for the congress members and a lot of families of potential Democratic members or candidates are going to discourage them from running. The republicans don't have to worry, they are having success now.
