When Faced With The Greatest Economic Crisis...
When faced with the greatest economic crisis, the greatest levels of economic inequality, and the greatest levels of corporate influence on politics since the Depression, Barack Obama stared into the eyes of history and chose to avert his gaze.

1. seriously...
I've read that, and just plan don't give a crap what the writer thinks. He doesn't have to actually work at trying to get legislation through a Congress bent on holding the status quo in the hopes of electoral reward later. There are institutional realities in Washington. One of them is Congress. Another is the Supreme Court. Another is a budget. We all wanted Obama to fulfill our greatest hopes by assuming power and being the unitary executive. He isn't a dictator, so now we're disappointed.

4. Nonsense.
... we wanted someone to walk the talk. Obama hasn't done it, period end of story. Obama reminds me of Bush in several ways, the most prominent being that he says one thing and then goes to his office and does damn near the opposite.

Politicians are so used to getting away with their "message" being the only thing that matters (because most Americans don't pay much attention to their actions) that it has become a running joke.

A lot of the things that needed to get done COULD have gotten done in the first 2 years when Obama had most of the forces on his side. He didn't do them because he doesn't want to he is a DINO of the highest order.

2. Unrec. Seriously. This is linked to the same article in the OP of about
1/2 hour earlier, even using the same excerpt.

Here are the links in both OPs. A self-serving 'kick' would have gotten the same result.

This was the link in the first one.

And this is the link in this one.
