1. At the most, he will serve 6 months and be back on the streets quickly |

I think he is eligible for parole after 1/6th of his sentence.

He'll never serve a day. And soon he will be on all the talk shows and have a book deal.

7. A life sentence wouldn't be enough for that rat bastard. |
|
He'll probably weasel his way out of his sentence somehow.

8. I think the important thing is that he got sentenced at all. It leaves |
|
a message to all the other criminal politicians of his ilk, that they can get away with it for a long time, but in the end there is a good chance of their being caught, tried, and sentenced.
Of course these sociopaths don't experience any shame. But some deterrent is better than none.

10. It is possible he'll never see a day... |
|
They can stretch this appeals process out for years, all the while he remains free. The appeals court is all Republicans. Delay has a very good lawyer that will argue that the Citizens United decision of the USSC should come into play here and that the conviction should be vacated.
I don't know what the intrade odds are on him ever seeing a day in prison, but I'd say it was at best even.
