Nobel Laureates and hate radio personalities |
|
When I was young, I worked at the Salk Institute. Just a volunteer post until I graduated high school. Anyway, it was difficult not to accidentally bump into a Nobel Laureate or two just strolling along between buildings. And I did get to know a few. What I noticed was how humble they were. Soft spoken usually. They actually thought I was interesting. They were like rock stars to me. I'm sure they aren't all this way, but it seemed like a pattern.
When I hear the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Beck, Palin, ick al, all I hear is supreme arrogance. They are the world's leading experts on everything! And if you don't agree, you're an idiot or pinhead. Most of these fucktards have as spotty a school career as Loughner. Why is it that they have such a devoted following? All I hear is vile hatred and immaturity. They make fun of everything not them. Even Nobel Laureates.
This is one dysfunctional country.

3. Because "the right talkers" are just an act of having real knowledge but ... |
|
.... the Nobel Laureates do not have to act like they are smart because they really are.
I always laugh when I see the likes of college drop outs / flunk outs like Hannity, Rush, and Beck lecturing President Obama who finished top of his class @ Harvard Law and was a Professor of Constitutional Law @ The University of Chicago about history, the Constitution, and international affairs.
BTW I once heard a Nobel Laureate give a talk and he said that the smartest thing anybody could say is, "I don't know."

6. What can you say? It's a classic Catch-22... |
|
If only the Palins, Hannitys, and O'Reillys could somehow suddenly become smart enough to be able to comprehend how dumb they really are.
