Watching Bachmann on MTP; she truly is a clueless dolt. |
|
As ignorant as anyone I have ever heard in politics...and that's saying a lot.

9. True...he pretends he's going to go tough, then let's her repeat the meme unchallenged. |
|
Gregory will at first respond to her bat-shitness by saying "but you said...let's show the quote..." and reads one of her stupid remarks. Wow, it seemed like he's going to force her to explain herself! Nope. Just lather, rinse, repeat. More bat-shit crazy talk, then Gregory moves on to her next crazy talking point, no further explanation needed.

23. So-called 'oil analysts' are also a waste of oxygen. |
|
As soon as we heard "gas prices will go down another $.50 soon" they went up $.35. When they were saying "It's going to $6 a gallon!1!!1" it dropped $.50.

|
..but she stays on message extremely well.
Bachmann is obviously a much stronger candidate in the Republican primaries than many counted on.

7. We see through her, but one of my concerns is many Americans won't. Too many fall for |
|
the sound bites and slick propaganda. She does do a good job IMO of staying on message and that's what makes her even more dangerous. The faithful will fall for her. Also, Ed Rollins seems to be giving to her pretty good coaching.

10. It's not what you say |
|
it's how you say it. She speaks with a certain confidence and authority that gives people who know very little the impression that she knows what she is talking about.
Hopefully, she'll be forced to answer some tough questions and actully defend her positions instead of just rattling off her message unchallenged.

17. Yes, she does speak with a certain confidence and authority, when her |
|
cage is rattled she remains unshaken, she speaks from a delusional state IMO, but truly believes those delusions, making her particularly dangerous IMO.
Exactly as you said, "It's not what you say it's how you say it." Many will fall for this IMO thinking she really knows her sh**. If the economy were not so bad she wouldn't have a chance IMO, but this economy gives one some excellent talking points.

Bachmann seems very confident, stays on message and seems fairly unflappable in interviews.
Perry, as dim as he may be, has some of those qualities as well. Both come across as extremely confident in their wrong headed policy positions, both project strength, both know how to stay on message. Looks like it is going to be a battle between Bachmann and Perry for who gets to be the anti-Romney.
I still think the Republican ticket is going to be Perry/Rubio. Bachmann has done well, but she's still just a wacky congresswoman with no actual accomplishments. Perry, I think, is the stronger of the 2 candidates - and Rubio will be added to the ticket to win Florida and make inroads into the Hispanic vote.

wasn't bad enough for some Americans, they want more and worse. Ed Rollins has this down to a science. He knows exactly how stupid many Americans are and what they will fall for and vote for. She's exactly the tool/front they need.
Well said!!!

15. Depends upon your idea of stupid is. |
|
Being able to clearly articulate stupid ideas doesn't make the ideas any less stupid. Sarah Palin, now THERE is some serious stupid. Bachmann presents herself as far more intelligent than Palin, but her ideas are still based in flat-earth territory.

19. Plus she stays on target with authoritative messaging, makes the brew even |
|
more toxic. We have a lot of lambs in the US today and lemmings ready to jump off a cliff, not knowing any better.
Frankly, many Americans scare the sh** out of me when it comes to their lack of knowledge about where some of these people are coming from and where they want to take the US. Countries falter and fail, or become hostage to some type of authoritarian government.
Today, some want an authoritative theocracy with fascism of sorts blended in. America is no exception, there is no reason to believe America can't falter, and it's so sad to see the underpinnings of this possibly happening.
First thing a Bachmann or Perry presidency would do is break down the church/state boundaries even more. That would then give to them a ready implementation to leverage off the ever faithful programming to bring us into some form of a theocratic dystopia ushering in their rapture.
