This time last year, all anyone was talking about in this country was...
...the "Ground Zero Mosque" and the BP oil spill.

Anyone here who thinks they know what the 2012 election will look like next August when we're heading into the conventions is out of their mind.

What we're talking about today won't be what we're talking about then.

By then, we will have a clear choice for the GOP nominee.... and once there is a face on the "generic Republican candidate", I suspect Obama will have a pretty good lead in the polls.

And remember something else... the Democrats, as the incumbents, get to go last in staging their political convention. There is a definite advantage to going second, and responding to the nonsense spouted by the GOP at their convention.

A year from now, the topic du jour will be the radical Republicans and their radical nominee.... whoever it is.

But, I can guarantee on thing that we will all still be talking about is the economy. Candidates on both sounds will be talking about high unemployment and sluggish growth.

The Dems will be saying it would be worse with repubs, repubs will say they can do better.

It will be an issue, which is unfortunate. It is unfortunate that the Dems have not grown the jobs so as to remove it as an issue.

4. It will be about what ever the media talking heads tell us it will be about
We are a pliable audience and willingly go along with whatever the talking heads are discussing at any given time.

And that not only includes DUer's but the entire population of this nation, voter and non-voter.

7. This time next year we'll really be in the shit if Obama keeps giving the GOOP their way. There may

not even be a country left to govern.
