1. Yes, we saw a "rush to judgment" Mr. Rumsfeld -- that would be the cover-up your side
...engaged in.

23. The right-wing in TX, especially Dallas, got that assassination done.
Don't tell me for a minute that they didn't.

They were behind that, completely.

3. Except this time the caught the guy in the act.
I do find how the papers are all saying "alleged shooter". I know, until he is proven guilty, legally he is "alleged" even if all those people saw him and jumped him while he was shooting.

Bit different from Oswald.

That would have been the mad scramble on the Right to silence Oswald.
Mission Accomplished.

when JFK was shot in Dallas. They also knew of the hate going around in the north of Texas. Everyone knew of the hate for JFK in Dallas.

14. Except that in 1963 it was the PTB rushing to blame the wrong guy.
Edited on Tue Jan-11-11 03:31 PM by Waiting For Everyman
The usual suspects are turning up to deflect blame for this as if they were popping out of a clown car.

How many more will get in on this act, I wonder? Next should be Cheney, or at least his daughter.

It's interesting that they're thinking about 1963 though. Too bad for them that this sheriff isn't a RWer like they had in Dallas... to see that there's no defendant to reach trial. I'll bet they're thinking about that bigtime.

19. how ironic coming from Rumsfeld
Saddam's friend and hand-shaking purveyor of WMDs to him in 1988
And then among those fueling the rush to judgment about war against Saddam in 2002 and 2003.

JFK's assassination remains unsettled after all these years precisely because Rumsfeld's right wing ilk wanted the truth of THEIR dastardly deed obfuscated!

21. When I think of a horrible rush to judgement, I just think about the Iraq War
Funny that Rumsfeld of all people would take issue with other people rushing to judgment given his lovely track record.

26. Rumsfeld? Rush to judgement?
. . . at 2:40 p.m., the notes quote Rumsfeld as saying he wanted "best info fast. Judge whether good enough hit S.H." – meaning Saddam Hussein – "at same time. Not only UBL" – the initials used to identify Osama bin Laden . . . "Go massive," the notes quote him as saying. "Sweep it all up. Things related and not."
