The Right lives on hatred and anger...
And they live on spreading it to as many people as possible and in any way that they can...

So, why are they denying their vastly dominant part in spreading so much vitriol?

(You know, other than the fact that they're addicted to hypocrisy part.)

1. Very afraid that somebody might get something for nothing. I can think of many
corporations that do just this on a daily basis but then, that's ok.

2. perhaps because they do not believe it
We seem to live on bad-mouthing the right, and yet when I make such a statement the denials and attacks will be fast and furious. Why is that?

It is sort of human nature to see yourself as a good person. If somebody calls you bad, your first response is likely to be denial. It is the rare exception when somebody makes an honest examination and says "you know what, you are right, and I apologize for what I did wrong". The likelihood of a positive outcome like that goes down as the vitriol in the accusation goes up.

That is "you are wrong" might lead to a positive outcome. "You are evil" is less likely to, and "you are the most evil, moronic pathetic excuse for a piece of human excrement who ever befouled the planet." is much less likely to lead somebody to say "you are right, and I apologize"

It is especially ironic if somebody uses that last line as they accuse somebody of spreading hate.

3. Everything in this human experience is based in either fear or love...
that's my opinion. And the Right Wing knows only how to use fear. It's a quick and dirty method of controlling people, making money, stirring shit, obfuscating the truth, and so on. But it's easy! The lizard brain responds to it every time.

The Left Wing, though, despite their occasional lame-brained efforts, are essentially committed to love. Love of people, love of the earth, love of learning, the arts, and so on.

The problem is that love is so much harder, requires more time, commitment and risk, and is therefore not well served by Teevee and other corporate message systems.

It's a real tough situation.
