Will Palin decide to take a leave, temporary or permanent, from
public life? I see no future for her and if she wants to bow out...gracefully....this would be the way to go, IMO. She's done, no matter how you slice it. She wasn't all that popular anyway except for the baggers. I'm wondering if this is being discussed. Her TLC show is over and I would imagine any worthwhile invitations will be spare. Just speculating but this would not surprise me.

3. She should go on vacation before all the civil lawsuits come knocking.
I hope they take her for every dime she has.

22. I heard it right here on DU
It was a popular nickname here on DU, during the weeks following her resignation as governor of AK.

Props to whomever coined it originally!

5. Now why would she do that?
More Publicity = More $$$ for Sarah

It's a pretty simple equation, and doesn't have any of that messiness like "conscience" or "ethics" or "reflection" to get in the way and start a girl wondering about whether she deserves it all or not.

7. Tere you go thinking logically again! Sarah is to much of an
egomaniac to just quit this lucrative run she has. I suspect FOX has told her to shut up for a while ans she's not stupid enough to kic the golden goose in he beak. Oh how I wish she would jst go away, but we will never be so lucky!

8. My guess is that FoxNews will be putting their heads together with her for an appearance
If so, I imagine Frank Luntz is burning the midnight oil.

I heard David Frumm propose a few things she could or should be saying. His list of statements she could be putting out there were awkward and weak, imo. So it has to be really good if she's going to do it now or after a time.

Her persona just doesn't seem all that easily salvageable to me. This is her lowest point.

16. I said when this happened, Sarah will be incommunicado till Faux has a script ready
once they have a script (and a proper cast) they will trot her out......she'll read her lines from her hand........and people will start sending sympathy cards to her.

I expect she'll pop up about the same time Punxatawny Phil does!

10. She will not go quietly -- she needs to be in the public eye.
How else could she demand the high prices for speaking engagements and appearances?

It will take more than this to get rid of her, unfortunately.

12. That's what I'm wondering..Will those speaking engagement and
appearances, other than in bagger territory be forthcoming? Ticket prices for her are high, I can't imagine anyone paying to hear what they think she's going to say, but she tones it down and drops the rhetoric. They don't want that and won't pay for it. Just guessing.

15. Yesterday Bill O'Reilly said....
something like "We are trying to find a way to contact Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, to see if we can get her to come on for an interview or comment...."
It was bizarre - since she is supposed to be an employee of FoxNews.
O'Reilly's tone and the way he said it made it sound like she was someone that didn't work for Fox.

17. Ah, good catch. Maybe they fired/laid her off...ahem..until this dies
down. FOX may not want the taint of Palin, whether they support her or not.. She's probably ticked off with them, glen is her only friend I guess and she's going to play hard to get. You make a good observation.

24. no way. far too cocky, far too delusional to resist the temptation
to stay in the spotlight. I'm betting that her spin doctors, Bill Kristol, the Koch Bros., Glenn Beck...et al are advising her that this is improving name recognition and that it is galvanizing the right - important twin goals for her as she pursues the white house. They need her in the race to get out the vote, and they will support her to the extent they can. She is so stupid she will believe them.
