The confuzzling lack of information
So why do we seem to be getting so little info on the shooter? So far all we have is that the police went to his house and found a letter saying he planned ahead. Well, surly this man had a bedroom with possessions in it. What books did he own? What movies? Video games? What's on his hard drive? Are there notebooks with writings? A diary? Posters on the wall? What's on his DVR? These are all things you look for to paint a picture of a man, yet I haven't heard about any of them (not counting the list he posted of his fav books, I'm talknig about investiagtive stuff the police found).

Are they holding all this back from the public because they don't want to compromise an investigation/jury pool? Just seems so odd we know so little so far. Usually when someone commits a crime like this their personal life is spread out lock stock and barrel for the whole world to say in a very short amount of time (Virginia Tech shooter for example)

1. patience grasshopper
Just because we are used to instant communication and hourly news reports (at the minimum), things like this still take time.

3. APNewsBreak: More Warning Signs on Day of Shooting
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=12594181

The 22-year-old man accused of trying to assassinate Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in a deadly shooting rampage wrote "Die, bitch" in a note found at his home, a sheriff's official told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Investigators believe Jared Loughner's handwritten message was a reference to Giffords, Pima County Chief Rick Kastigar said. It was found in a safe alongside other ones, including "I planned ahead," ''My assassination" and the name "Giffords."

Authorities also revealed other new information about the hours leading up to the Saturday shooting that killed six people and injured 14 others, including Giffords.

That morning, Jared Loughner's father saw him take a black bag out of a car trunk, Sheriff Clarence Dupnik told the AP.

4. Corporate media wants the story to go away
too many secondhand and thirdhand connections to the people they promote on a daily basis.

Plus it brings up the guns and the mental illness thing which NO ONE wants to talk about they just want to sell pills.

12. Well, that rules out a "random shooting"
Looks like he planned his day ahead of time.

13. He met Rep. Giffords in 2007. She didn't answer his question
the way he liked. So I'd say it wasn't random.

6. It's all evidence...
They are still trying to build a case and they'll only release what is absolutely necessary. They won't release it for quite some time.

The VA tech shooter committed suicide. There was no reason to keep this kind of info from the public.

9. ditto
We have a handful of brief anecdotal comments and "I barely knew him, but...".
No interviews from his mothers co-workers? No relatives anywhere? No shirt-tail relatives coming forward, a cousin's ex-wife? Nothing? It just seems so odd, the total scarcity of any information.

11. Does the mother have a job?
Maybe the relatives (if they have any) are afraid to talk about their mass murdering relative.

They've showed school mates and friends talking about him. Information does strike me as scarce at all.
