Does anyone read the comments at the bottom of the news items such as on Yahoo?
If you do, you can see that yes, it's usually somewhat both sides... but more of a reality is about 90% ticking off the 10% which then responds in kind.
For instance:
San Franscisco's New Asian-American. Scroll to the bottom and read the comments:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110112/ap_on_re_us/us_san_francisco_interim_mayorA few selected for here and a questio: If we opened up the Violent Rhetoric of the RW to include general Americans like many of the RW aplogists are doing, would we or THEY be surprised?

"In his statement, Lee said he would focus his attention on balancing the budget without jeopardizing vital social services. The city currently faces a $379 million deficit." >>>>>>> I wonder what San Francisco classifies as "vital services"? Not wishing to prejudge the man, I hope his idea of "vital services" is not Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi and Brown nonsense.

The issue of 'heritage' and the attendant ethnic 'qualifiers' (read: hyphenated-American), stem from a purposeful attempt to alienate 'whites' from the dialogue.
Why?
Because it is 'understood' that no person of 'color' can be a racist, by virtue of the 'fact' that only 'whites' are capable of 'racism'...
Haven't you figured that out yet...
Funny thing is, it is predominantly White Elites who promulgate this divisiveness in order to keep the various races biting at each other, so that they can maintain control, and 'people of color' will always look to THEM for support and sustenance.
Got it?"
