Lawrence I love you, but.... it takes three seconds for the brain to process something like a shooting and react and draw and pull trigger. THREE FUCKING SECONDS. I can empty a magazine, (10 bullets) in one and a half seconds and damn it I am not that good of a shot. One TRAINED cop besides her would not have prevented her getting shot!

Why you need anywhere from eight to fourteen people and LAYERED security!

No, I don't expect MOST people, especially newsies, to KNOW THIS.

1. Carry a conceal weapon doesn't emit a force field 10ft in diameter?
Oh well..........

3. Nope, I would start doing shit
like issuing every congress critter kevlar, and in this case would have been for naught.

But I would do that.

8. Yep, but them helmets are very hot
and heavy and uncomfortable...

They also use it in motorcycle helmets these days, but not to ballistic levels.

2. His point is deterrence not prevention.

4. Tell me, would an undercover cop have deterred the shooter?

5. A uniformed one would deter some, certainly not all.

6. That is not what they are talking about
and the point the head of security made is exactly the same I made, without the layered security shtick... but he made the exact same point.

And that is not 100% secure either, but much better than ONE.
