Note to M$M: Obama knows he is not going to the Democratic Convention tomorrow
All day today, the M$M talked about how Obama needs to "avoid partisanship" and "find a way to rise above the anger" during tomorrow's speech. Seriously? I think any mature adult, let alone the President of the United States understands that tomorrow night is not an occasion for party politics or assigning "blame". Really! They never said this about Bush on 9/11 or Clinton after Oklahoma City. What is so different about Obama? Oh yeah, never mind.

3. GW Bush exploited 9/11 at GOP fundraisers as early as 3 months afterwards
A lot of the footage of this is lost, however, because so many of these events were closed to the media.

6. I just read that he is going to talk about Americans serving their country...
in the Limbaugh/Beck world that translates to "Socialist work camps"...and their idiot audience will lap it up.

7. Actually, the right wing did attack Clinton b/c of his Oklahoma speech
specifically, this part:

To all my fellow Americans beyond this hall, I say, one thing we owe those who have sacrificed is the duty to purge ourselves of the dark forces which gave rise to this evil. They are forces that threaten our common peace, our freedom, our way of life. Let us teach our children that the God of comfort is also the God of righteousness: Those who trouble their own house will inherit the wind.¹ Justice will prevail.

Let us let our own children know that we will stand against the forces of fear. When there is talk of hatred, let us stand up and talk against it. When there is talk of violence, let us stand up and talk against it. In the face of death, let us honor life. As St. Paul admonished us, Let us "not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."²

and BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO DECENCY, they are doing this now as well.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/plum-line/2011/01/clinton_obama_and_arizona.html

"In a preemptive strike, conservatives are already misrepresenting the history of that event, arguing that Clinton politicized the bombing for his own gain. At National Review, John J. Miller writes, "Clinton saw an opportunity to link his conservative political opponents to bomber Timothy McVeigh. He seized it." This is how conservatives remember it, but it's not what happened. Rather, Clinton issued a broad appeal for civility, unity, and personal responsibility across the political spectrum, showing strong leadership in the process -- precisely what conservatives fear Obama will do now.

The part that still angers conservatives about Clinton's response to the bombing is actually a small portion of the overall speech...

...Rush Limbaugh continues to insist, to this day, that Clinton blamed him for the bombings. Limbaugh actually blames Clinton ("what followed was a domestic terrorist bombing in Oklahoma City"). Limbaugh apparently believes in blowback theory when right wing terrorists are involved and a Democrat is president."

Beck is already trying to get out in front of his culpability (considering his attacks on the Tides foundation are directly tied to another right wing extremist attack)

http://mediamatters.org/research/201010110002

"According to a police investigation, Williams opened fire on California Highway Patrol officers who had stopped him on an Oakland freeway for driving erratically. For 12 frantic minutes, Williams traded shots with the police, employing three firearms and a small arsenal of ammunition, including armor-piercing rounds fired from a .308-caliber rifle.

...Beck, in particular, he says, is "like a schoolteacher on TV." Williams tells Hamilton, "You need to go back to June -- June of this year, 2010 -- and look at all his programs from June, and you'll see he's been breaking open some of the most hideous corruption.""

8. There had better be a visible sign of the Secret Service there!
Because this is not the time to show up with just a few guards.

9. Yes he is. This is a chance for him to make a "Ask not what your country" kind of speech.
