A video of Al Qaeda-type talking heads making threats and spouting hate, followed by video images of the carnage following I.E.D. and car bomb/suicide attack, intercut with video images of right wing hate mongers spouting nearly identical eliminationist rhetoric about liberals and Dems, ending with whatever still shots are available of the aftermath of the Tucson shooting.

Title it "The Wages of Hate". If it were well and carefully done, I think it could be very powerful.

It's not something I'm personally set up to do, unfortunately. But I bet someone out there has the capability.

Anyway, just a thought...

3. Thank you. I suddenly got this whole thing visualized in my mind last night.

There was a post a couple days ago that spoke of how right wing demonization of, and threats to, liberals is essentially terrorism. When a political faction puts their opposition literally in fear of physical harm for their political views, that's terrorism.

I really want to see them called out -- we've normalized this for far too long. It's NOT okay, and I want a mirror held up to them in a way that all decent people can see their tactics for what they really are.

We are a visual culture, I can't think of a more effective way to make this point than through a well-crafted video traveling through the intertubes and possibly (hopefully) ending up on the TV news -- letting the terrorist right wing be condemned by their own words.

Ahem. We've got a little over two feet of accumulated snow up here, but no substantial snowfalls recently, just little 1 or 2 inch dustings. Most of the recent big snow dumps have happened south or west of here.
