The best thing about being in a drug induced coma back in the summer of 2004..
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 09:11 PM by WCGreen
Was missing all the hoopla over the death of one Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Reagan started this march toward oblivion that this country seems to be on, this war on the poor, this war on the environment, this war on the future.

He escalated this imaginary war on America that was started by Nixon, this was on the middle class, this war on social justice, this war on minorities.

So Ronald Reagan will always provide the dividing point, in my mind, in this countries decent into Third World Status where the rich live in armed enclaves and the rest of us try to survive under jack boot of unfettered capitalism...

2. Well, Reagan was when we stopped pretending to care about the public, and the poor.

When including everyone went out of fashion. That was when "Fuck you Jack, I've got mine" became a credible public political stance. He did it for California, and then he took it to the whole country.

I guess if you have to find something good about being in a drug induced coma you at least found a good thing to miss.

9. the people who voted for him are responsible
They and they alone.

I well remember that time. They chose an actor who told them what they wanted to hear, over an honest man who told them how it was.

10. Karma bit ol President Pruneface in the ass.
He wound up with Alzheimer's, spending his last days just like the thousands of patients he threw out of California's mental hospitals. Karma came back to sting him in the ass.
