Republican Chris Christie gets a pat on the back & an okee-dokee |
|
when he claims that New Jersey's problems go back 10 years & he's not expected to fix it right away..but President Obama is not ever "allowed" to even MENTION the nightmare he inherited from GW..

3. Yes, well, how else will the Repubs get to permanent majority status and own the White House |
|
if they sympathize with a Dem?
We all know by now that that is the goal. Grover Norquist, et al, are working toward the one party rule in this nation. It's not a secret, is it? I think we can Google some thoughts along those lines.

9. "The Party of (NO) Responsibility" strikes again |
|
Obama got approximately 18 months to fix all of the nation's problems- some of which he rightly claimed were caused by the previous eight years under Bushco- before "the people" decided that he had failed and that they had better bring in the Republican Tea Party to "help" him. :eyes: Many Republicans, of course, declared his Presidency a failure even before it started and boldy announced their desire (and intent) to see him fail from the get-go. Unfortunately Christie and, probably, the Republican Tea Party will undoubtedly get several years to "fix" (mess up more) the state/nation's problems. :banghead: :puke:

13. It's almost impossible to see these things happening and remain calm. |

But you have to try, PLD! It's too early for puking. (Unless one is Jan Brewer expelling all that pink chardonnay, and nicotine. and tar.)

17. Christie used his kids as human shields. |
|
This cowardly bastard, in the face of incoming criticism of his handling of a crisis, hid behind his children. "The kids wanted to go to Disney World." "I had to go because I promised the kids."
Don't criticize me. It's the kids fault. What a disgusting POS.

Also his soon-to-be dying father-in-law, remember. They did it for a dying old man. A sob story, "everything but the hounds snappin' at his rear-end". if you can't leave Disneyland during a crisis during your watch, you don't belong as a public servant.
Some reporter should follow up on his story, if possible. Ticket purchases, whatever.
No Dem's career would have ever survived this one. The double standard is becoming a bit too wearying.

If you recall, they went way into his second term demanding his tax cuts for the wealthy be given more time to work...while all the time blaming Clinton for it not working.

21. Republican economic policies never work. Never. |
|
And that's the "what I learned today" moment I wish everyone would get.
It's why Truman said "If you want to live like a republican, vote Democratic." The pubby policies are historically disastrous.

22. If Ted Strickland would have gotten the same courtesy in Ohio. |
|
He took over a mess in Ohio in 2006 from 16 straight years of Republican governors and 14 straight years of Repubs controlling both houses of the legislature and all elected cabinet posts.
He couldn't do it in four years, so he gets the boot in favor of a yahoo cowboy whose ideology got the state in the mess it's in.
