The San Francisco Labor Council is supporting Wikileaks , Julian Assange and Bradley Manning. In a resolution passed by the labor council it opposed efforts by the U.S. and other governments to criminalize, financially destroy and shut down Wikileaks. The San Francisco Labor Council says documents exposed by Wikileaks have exposed the criminal record of the U.S. government in violating international agreements and committing war crimes against people throughout the world. In its resolution the labor council urged other unions to publicly affirm and defend freedom of the press and the ability to expose and criticize government wrongdoing.
