Sarah is not a statesman, She's a sociopath. |
|
I don't think her "target map" was ever seen by Loughner, or influenced his decision to try and kill Gabby Giffords. But any intelligent person who wishes to be a leader of our nation would be able to step back and realize that such rhetoric using guns is irresponsible. She can't bring herself to epiphany for the greater good. She will never apologize. Instead, she's made it about herself and the base of gun fetishists she's trying to appeal to to make money, and possible someday take over and destroy our nation. They are proud of their classless "political incorrectness", and to back down from it is seen as weakness. She is no longer a joke. She is a monster.

1. You don't think her "target map" was ever seen by Loughner ?? |
|
The cable news stations have been flashing that image on the screen constantly since March of last year when Palin posted it.
But you don't think this unemployed guy living at home with his parents ever seen it? Even once? Even subconsciously?
What evidence do you base your thoughts on that he never seen it?
Just curious.

4. Look, I don't really want to get into this in this thread |

I've stated already elsewhere that this guy doesn't seem to listen to anyone but himself and the voices in his head. I doubt he's going to the website of any politician considering he claims he hates the way they talk, and I think we all live in a bubble as to what people "know is out there". The target map may have been widely discussed here, or on MSNBC, but most people, and people like him, don't pay attention to those outlets. He also apparently had a grudge with Gabby long before Sarah Palin came on the national scene.
If the FBI digs something up off his hard drive, I'll happily retract my opinion.

You made a statement you don't believe that something that has been shown and discussed widely on cable TV for nearly a year was ever seen by the suspect who has had nothing but time on his hands during that period. Even subconsciously? Think about that for a minute. Even subconsciously?
I can see why you don't want to go into this. Because what you said you think doesn't make any sense.

I didn't see it until the other day, or if I did, I forgot about it. And I watched MSNBC a fair amount, mostly at night. I certainly didn't remember it was her district on there.

10. Does it really matter. |

IMO there is simply no justification for her to use such language or graphics. What would any "reasonable" person think such would accomplish? When Republicans say the "Tree of Liberty" needs to be watered, or they are willing to employ "2nd Amendment Remedies" what would ANY reasonable person understand their meaning to be? It is their form of intimidation and they could care less if some weak minded person actually did what they suggest.. In fact if and when some dim wit does the unthinkable, their intimidation bears fruit.. We see evidence of that by elected officials in Arizona resigning because of intimidation....It is working and I feel they are in fact gleeful about it...One thing about Republicans, if something works for them, they continue using it forever and ever..

3. You're completely right - they're using this as a free-pass of their rhetoric |
|
Here is what's bugging me. I saw something a friend posted on FB, of Jon Stewart calling both sides to task for taking sides... but the truth is, I don't CARE what Laughner had in mind when he did this. It was horrific, regardless. BUT... it does not erase the danger from the violent and inciting language that the right has been using for years.
If the media was truly free, they would point out the following: that the threats and attacks on Democratic officials has increased exponentially since the beginning of the hate media and politics, and even more so after Palin and Beck really ratcheted things up. That's fact. Not conjecture. So, by using the corporate-owned-media, they have turned this around to try and impeach the liberals who point this out.

"Look at MEEE!!"
She thrives on all the attention she is getting. And the MSM is only too happy to oblige. And the money she gets out of it is just icing on the cake.
