My personal outrage at the shootings in Tucson evokes |
|
my distaste what I see as a political environment that has the potential to push the buttons of persons of questionable mental control. My expression of my distaste of the violent imagery is in no way intended to lay the blame for the shooting anywhere else than were it belongs, a mentally confused individual with a very dangerous weapon. If Palin and ilk think anyone personally holds them responsible it is their own sense of guilt that they are feeling. A very human feeling, empathy, is what many of us on the left find lacking in our friends on the right. The need to see herself as a victim is proof of a lack of empathy, and her defense of her hateful rhetoric is proof of this inner conflict.

1. Absolutely right, randr. |

It's about total lack of empathy. Our Right Wing friends would think empathy was a dirty word... If they understood what it meant.
