His mother is in a wheelchair, he wears football cleats to school...
because he has no regular shoes. No father in the picture. I learned this just tonight about the boy we adopted for Christmas. He will be taken care of, shoes and all. I don't post this for self-glory. So many people are struggling.

Please folks, if you can spare a few dollars; help someone who is in worse shape than you. It doesn't matter whether you believe in Christmas or not...the children do.

3. My son is a teacher...
He has talked to the school township social worker the past couple years in order to find a family in need.

It has been anonymous. We get a list of the kid's names, ages, sizes, and needs.

It has been very rewarding, even though I wish I had could have been a fly on the wall Christmas morning. :)

4. Thank you, now I remember a post
on DU to call the Guidance Office if anyone was interested in helping someone. Thanks, it's that time of the year when my duh factor is higher than usual.

2. Oh fucking A. Overnight that child some shoes. Where is he?
Are you sure he's not wearing cleats to stick the ground so he can push the wheelchair?

6. I don't mean any disrespect..
..but aren't football cleats far more expensive than a pair of no-name tennis shoes?

little bit? If you can think back to when you were a child, how would you have felt wearing cleats to school every day because you had no other shoes?

16. I'm not getting down on you, I'm hot about the situation here. We don't have a foot size or where
to send some fucking shoes for tomorrow. I find this OP post horrendously outfuckingrageously sad.

13. They could have been gifted to him
Or, they could be a remnant of a time when the family had more money. Surely you could have thought of these and many more possibilities.

5. Thank you for your act of kindness. That was why my wife did the you tube video she did.
She doesn't think it is right any child should suffer from lack of clothing or food or gifts this time of year regardless of the way people choose too or not celebrate this time of year.

8. That is beautiful. My partner and I just finished 85 gift bags for his kids
...there are a lot of poor kids out there...many foster kids or being bounced from house to house.A little sliver of hope and joy goes a long way.

These gifts have a way of repaying you in ways you can't imagine...

15. Tomorrow is the last day of school...someone will be picking up the gifts
and delivering them to the family.

By the way, when I took what we had bought to the school this morning, I was led to a room behind the office to take my bags. There were several others there.

Looks like others are doing this too. That makes me smile.

lonestarnot, don't worry...this little guy is getting super hero tennis shoes that light up, along with a few other things.

along with some toys, books, and clothes.

Are you ok tonight? I have read many of your posts, and you seem a bit upset. Maybe it was my post that bothered you...I hope not.

For the last few years, we have provided a bit of comfort for a family in need at Christmas. Actually, it just hit me...we should do this year round.

Anyway, please know that this little boy will find a new pair of shoes and other gifts that Santa leaves under the tree this year.

12. Another IMO.
A school that would let this happen to a child for the cost of a regular pair of shoes should be afuckingshamed. How long did they let this go on with this child?
