The "Palin is too quiet" meme was hard for the MSM to justify, so it was a case of "say anything and we'll spin it to our (and her) benefit afterwords".

They are not just her cheerleaders, they are actively campaigning for her.

A cross in a white circle was frequently used by southern racists associated with the KKK to identify the KKK organization.

Sarah is whistling to the white racists as did Raygun.
