So do DUers now understand why ReTHUGS destroyed ACORN |
|
How else can they disenfranchise the vote! It is everywhere - all over the country pushed by ReTHUGS because Obama won in 2008.
As Sharpton points out 34 state legislators are taking up the same bills.

...it is important to remember that Acorn's demise had plenty of help from spineless Democrats who jumped on the outrage bandwagon and voted to eliminate its funding.

5. It wasn't the Republicans that destroyed ACORN |
|
It was Democrats terrified of what Republicans might say..
Just like with the firing of Shirley Sherrod.

12. Or failing that, for the noodle backed Democrats that tripped over themselves to do the dirty work. |
|
I don't see how the TeaPubliKlans can have majority ownership of the blame, they didn't have enough votes to defund a damn thing.
Nor do I forget how so many of the "pragmatic" rank and file types right here jumped right on the slit our own throats express.
But yeah, I know exactly why the racist-fascist-theocrat-greedhead party made their stink and have been waging war against ACORN for long before we let Briethart decide their fate for us which makes me have grave doubts about many supposedly on our side.

9. Democrats pull threads..republicans cut to shreds |
|
but every time an organization that helps us, is taken down, it's usually accompanied by unsavory "details" that make supporting it difficult. Most of what's presented is later proved to be somewhat false (if not totally false), but by then it's too late.
republicans have always been focused on the end-result...at any cost
our people get flummoxed and start to withhold support for the organization under attack, for fear of being pinned to them (and by default, the unsavory stuff), and in the end many line up against them ..
Once an organization is torn to shreds, it's too late to restore them.
republicans always support their own., the tea bag people are a prime example..they are racist ignorant and dangerous, but even though they are a teeny tine minority, they have a lot of power because our side won't taken them down, and their people attack anyone who dares to even try to make them accountable.

10. This has always been about destroying the mechanisms of a healthy democracy |
|
Republicans hate democracy because the 'wrong sort' of people vote. By destroying ACORN, they are keeping many, many 'undesirables' away from the polls.
