Obama’s uncle arrested in Framingham on drunken driving charge
Edited on Mon Aug-29-11 07:23 PM by The Northerner
An illegal immigrant from Kenya busted for drunken driving after nearly striking a cop car in Framingham is the uncle of President Obama, the Herald has learned.

Obama Onyango told cops he wanted to “call the White House” after he was nabbed for OUI on Aug. 24 after nearly plowing his SUV into a police cruiser. He was arraigned Thursday and was ordered held without bail because he was wanted on a federal immigration warrant, officials said.

Mike Rogers, a spokesman for Cleveland immigration attorney Margaret Wong, who is representing Onyango, confirmed that the 67-year-old is the president’s uncle. Wong is the same lawyer who represented the president’s aunt, Zeituni Onyango, in her fight to win asylum last year.

Reached at her apartment in a South Boston public housing complex today, Zeituni Onyango said of her brother’s arrest: “Why don’t you go to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washingon, D.C. and ask your president? Not me.” She then hung up on a reporter.

1. Send his drunken ass back to Kenya. Sooner rather than later.
That way, there's no issue. It's not like that friken "Obama" side was ever helpful to him--they're like an albatross around his neck; a bunch of loser-spongers.

You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your relatives.

Distance, Barack, distance!!!!

I think Auntie's ass should have been sent back home as well. Asylum? Asylum my ass!

7. Do you want to deport people just cause they are related to person in power, and poor / embarassing?
Why? Is Obama's aunt a "sponger" because she lives in public housing?

2. He was in his book. This is sad, but POTUS is not responsible for what
his relatives do. No one is responsible for what someone else does.

4. Jeb had George.
I still think Jeb is mad at George for ruining any chances he might have had.

5. True dat
Although I'm not all that convinced his chances have been totally ruined, what with all these wacky contenders mucking up everything, and making him look good. He may be biding his time for the right moment to toss his fat hat into the ring.

Oh, but to be a fly on the wall in his camp.

8. This Obama relative couldn't possibly be a more obnoxious P.O.S. than Neil Bush.
Wikipedia:

~snip~
Silverado Savings & LoanNeil Bush was a member of the board of directors of Denver-based Silverado Savings and Loan during the 1980s' larger Savings and Loan crisis. As his father, George H.W. Bush, was Vice President of the United States, his role in Silverado's failure was a focal point of publicity. According to a piece in Salon, Silverado's collapse cost taxpayers $1.3 billion.<3>

The US Office of Thrift Supervision investigated Silverado's failure and determined that Bush had engaged in numerous "breaches of his fiduciary duties involving multiple conflicts of interest." Although Bush was not indicted on criminal charges, a civil action was brought against him and the other Silverado directors by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; it was eventually settled out of court, with Bush paying $50,000 as part of the settlement, as reported in the Style section of the Washington Post.<4>

A Republican fundraiser set up a fund to help defer costs Neil incurred in his S&L dealings.

Ignite! Learning
In 1999, Bush co-founded Ignite! Learning, an educational software corporation. Bush has said he started Austin-based Ignite! Learning because of his learning difficulties in middle school and those of his son, Pierce.<6> The software uses multiple intelligence methods to provide varying types of content to appeal to multiple learning styles.

To fund Ignite!, Bush raised $23 million from U.S. investors, including his parents, as well as businessmen from Taiwan, Japan, Kuwait, the British Virgin Islands and the United Arab Emirates, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Documented investors include Russian billionaire expatriate Boris Berezovsky, Berezovsky's partner Badri Patarkatsishvili, Kuwaiti company head Mohammed Al Saddah, and Chinese computer executive Winston Wong.

~snip~
Bush's relationship with the controversial oligarch Boris Berezovsky, a political enemy of Russian President Vladimir Putin currently under indictment for fraud in Russia and an applicant for asylum in the United Kingdom,<10> has been noted in the media. Berezovsky has been an investor in Bush's Ignite! program since at least 2003.<11> Bush met with Berezovsky in Latvia. The meeting caused tension between that country and Russia due to Berezovsky's fugitive status.<11> Bush has also been seen in Berezovsky's box at an Arsenal's Emirates stadium for a game,<12> which prompted some stateside criticism.<13> There has also been speculation in the English language Moscow Times that the relationship may cause tension in U.S.-Russian bilateral relations, "especially since Putin has taken pains to build a personal relationship with the U.S. president."<14>

Marriage, divorce, and remarriage
~snip~
Bush's divorce deposition gained public attention when he admitted to several sexual encounters with high-priced escorts/prostitutes in Thailand and Hong Kong in which he admitted to catching the STD herpes.<20><25><26><27> Among other divorce testimony aired in the press, Bush's friend John Spalding announced that Sharon had extracted hair samples from her estranged husband in order to place a voodoo curse on him. Sharon Bush later confirmed the forcible hair removal, but she stated that she took the hair to be tested for evidence of drug use.<28> At various times, she publicly spoke of her fear of retribution by Bush, or by the Bush family.
