O.M.G. Chuckie Todd is discombobulated over Palin's speech.

Good conversation on Tweety with Fineman and Chuck. They're both gobsmacked by Palin's speech and lack of understanding the issue. Tweets says she has "no reverse gear on her tongue." It's a good one and Tweets is on his good meds.

1. According to another viewer who posted on DU
Tweety was attempting to give her an 'out' by questioning whether she actually knew the meaning of the term 'blood libel.' Tweety just goes any old way the wind is blowing - wishy-washy to a fault.

11. Whether she does or she doesn't, it's still really bad
If she doesn't know what it means, then why in pluperfect hell did she use it in a speech? That would indicate extremely poor judgment - way beyond stoopid - on her part. If she *does* know what it means, it's even worse because she's tooting a not-so-silent dog whistle for her bigoted troglodyte followers.

20. I absconded with it from a novel by Erskine Caldwell
Tobacco Road. As I recall, the person who used it was somewhat villainous, but I liked the term & borrowed it anyway.

13. If she doesn't, which I don't think she does

Or the historical implications of that word.

She's a moron.

25. It shouldn't matter whether she doesn't know the meaning of blood libel.
She has a responsibility of knowing whether it is appropriate to use any term she uses. Especially if she hopes to be President.

Tweety shouldn't try to give a person an out just because they are stupid and pretty. He should probably remove the appendage between his legs so he can focus more with the brain in his head.

21. Probably because of the increased play of the Giffords interview
Where she calls out Palin for her rhetoric and Todd defends Palin. Probably really hard for him to sleep the past couple nights when he has to see what a douchebag he was during that interview.

24. He was very critical of her and her poor choices of wording. I was
stunned that he was really uncomfortable and disgusted with her words. That's so unlike him, always pushing the Sarah meme...
