both sides do it..... The Joe Wilson "You Lie" AR-15 Lower Receiver |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-12-11 05:45 PM by spanone
what's the message here? Palmetto State Armory would like to honor our esteemed congressman Joe Wilson with the release of our new "You Lie" AR-15 lower receiver. These lowers are the same great quality you have come to expect from Palmetto State Armory and feature "You Lie" as the first six digits of the serial number. Only 999 of these will be produced, get yours before they are gone! These forged lowers are made using high quality 7075-T6 aluminum and are marked "MULTI" to accommodate most builds. Finish is Black Hardcoat Anodize. The lower: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/11/joe-wilson-you-lie-assault-rifle_n_807644.html

13. Anybody can get anything engraved on a stripped receiver they want, if they pay for it. |
|
Personally, I think this is utterly stupid, offensive, and a waste of aluminum, but if someone is dumb enough to waste ten thousand dollars on idiotically engraved receivers, then I suppose it's their money. There are in excess of 30 companies that make AR-15 type rifles (they're the most popular centerfire rifle in the United States), so finding a company to do custom engraving wouldn't be hard. I do hope these don't sell worth a crap, though.
Personally, I'd rather see a "Democratic Underground" edition, but that's just me. :D (I already own a carbine, though, so I really can't justify buying a second receiver.)

6. That's just upside down and backwards |

Have you noticed that the limited run of 999 upside down is the number of the beast?
