Does Cheney’s book now make it clear that he was running the presidency?
Whoever decided to run hapless GW Bush for president probably wanted Cheney but knew that he probably wouldn’t stand a chance of getting elected president. No one would want to have a beer with this sociopath. So they picked a good ole boy that America would like to have a beer with AND was gullible enough to be manipulated (e.g. Sept 11, 2001).
Then GW was convinced by someone, probably Poppy, to have Cheney help pick a VP. Poor hapless Georgie couldn’t care less who was VP. And Cheney, the sociopathic narcissist, of course, chose his favorite person, himself.

My question is, do you think poor idiot son Georgie knows that he was totally manipulated by Cheney and his father? Does he know that Jeb knows. Does he know that Laura knows?

2. Actually, you're factually correct. And a lot of us knew that before Dick put pen to paper.
Because George was just a figurehead for ol' man Bush.
The same way Reagan was just a figurehead for ol' man Bush.

George H.W. Bush has been the head of the GOP party for over 35 years.
Maybe for 40.

People vastly underestimated his power in the party for decades.

4. So who do you think also runs the country besides Poppy? Someone told George and Cheney
to step down from power quietly. Cheney went for a long time before he spoke out.

5. Cheney is almost an equal with ol' man Bush now.
Timing is everything.
The Dick brought his book out just in time to distract from the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Over 1/3rd of the CIA's top officers resigned in the wake of the Valerie Plame scandal.
Cheney didn't care.
If we were attacked again, it would just prove their case, that we need to invade more countries.

Ol' man Bush was appointed head of the CIA in January 1975 under President Ford, after President Nixon resigned.
Ol' man Bush served less than a year in that position.
He is the only Director to serve less than a year for the CIA.
President Carter fired him, on the same day he took the oath to become the President.

Politicians should never be made Directors of the CIA.
Ol' man Bush was in Dallas the day JFK was shot.
So, he has been an operative for the GOP for over 45 years.

7. I respectfully disagree. Cheney is a sociopath and probably a psychopath but he is not a leader.
He is a tool. He didnt want to leave office in 2008, especially quietly. But he did. Someone told him to. Someone that has more power and "knows best". They are done with Cheney and he doesnt like it. Not sure who might be in charge but I believe Poppy is up there.

9. Well, that's where you're wrong. Cheney is almost as evil as ol' man Bush ever was.
And they're both psychopaths, but that has nothing to do with their ability to lead others in their party.

Check out the book that was written this summer that is about the psychopath test. The author was on John Stewart a few months ago, in July or late June. The author identified 11 common traits shared by psychopaths, so he developed a test of 11 questions to determine if someone was a psyhcopath.
He estimated that as many as 5% of the CEOs in this country are probably psychopaths; that isn't to say they are serial killers, though.
You can google "take the psychopath test" to find the author's name and then read that book to learn more about psychopaths.

Cheney is not a tool, he is the one that lead the way toward implementing Reagan's "trickle down" theory of economics. Cheney got his start in President Nixon's administration and that is where he learned about black bag tricks, and how to fool the feds by walking the line between legal and illegal activities.
He has been at this for over 40 years.

Cantor is a tool.
Boehner is a tool.
Neither one of those fucks has an original idea in their heads.

But, Cheney is in a special league of fucks, right along with ol' man Bush.
They are the last of the Old Guard in the GOP, and they screwed America for over 40 years.

6. yes, but one catch--you have to believe Cheney.
And I don't believe a single word he says. Perhaps no one was really running the country, just a bunch opf self absorbed sociopaths at the top, and we were in free fall because of it.

12. I agree that you cant trust a sociopath, but I think you can learn a lot from listening to him.
I think he has been cut loose by his handlers and now is bitter. He may reveal some interesting facts even though you may have to weed thru the self-serving bullcrap.

8. I don't think W even cares. He never had the intellectual
capacity or curiosity to be a real President, even a bad one. I think he probably enjoyed the ceremonial aspects, the travel on Air Force One and the time off at the ranch, but had no interest in the actual job.
