Poll question: Media scrutiny of Presidential candidates today versus "the past" |
|
I've read over the years in the corporate media that the "post-Watergate" media has harmed the country by "over-exposing" foibles and peccadilloes of sitting Presidents and Presidential candidates. Examples concerning FDR and JFK are cited. Now that I think about it, I don't recall any foibles or peccadilloes of Nixon, Reagan, GHWB, GWB, Eisenhower, etc being mentioned. Curious that.
Is this just another BS RW meme or is there any legitimacy to it, in your opinion ?
