2. It depends on what you want to do, and what the price is |
|
I don't know about the others, but my D620 is still going strong. Dell is a shit company, but it seems to me that their models (like Latitudes) aimed at business/institutional customers have always been a lot more solid than the consumer-oriented lines. It is 4+ year old technology, of course, but I've yet to hit a software or hardware limitation in what I do using XP...

But I'll be happy to say it again in here:

12. Sorry, not a donor so I can't participate in your poll but... |
|
I'd go with a Thinkpad but I'm not familiar with the t60. Is that an older one or consumer model? For not much more you can get a 400-500 series.
If you're on an android mobile device, long click (press and hold) and the copy and paste menu will come up.

14. Don't have time to dig into that right now but... |

You shouldn't get anything with Windows XP on it at this point. It's a 10 year old OS.

So she can install Ubuntu.
I'm still running XP and will until the very last possible moment, then I'll go strictly Linux because I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay $200 and upwards for a damned operating system.
