President Barack Obama will win a second term. |
|
And 99.9% of DUers will be voting for him to ensure a second term. Despite all the complaining and worry, we will vote for him again. The bitter taste of GWB doesn't leave the voting palette for at least a decade and no one here wants Rick Perry as POTUS. I'd rather eat my own vomit.

I can't vote for neocon policies, just because there's a (d) in front of their name.

25. I think he will win, and I think a lot of liberals won't vote, either. |

But, more republicans will stay home because their choice is either a Mormon or an evangelical christian.

6. You are not impressed by Rick Perry's 2.22 college gpa? |
|
I mean, that is really impressive. I'm sure most people in college can't manage better than a 2.22. Gosh, he was probably top 5% of his class. You sure you want to pass that up?

I mean I know colleges have implemented some grade inflation since Perry graduated in 72, but he is either a) below average intelligence or b) just a complete slacker, right? Some Repubs like to talk about how Obama couldn't have flown planes like Perry, but I'm fairly certain that Obama's graduation from Harvard Law magna cum laude confirms that he is light-years above Perry when it comes to intelligence. I'm not even convinced that he wrote his own book - do you think he did? It would be easy to have had a ghost-writer and then just slap his name on it. Conservative governor pays smart Republican intern $50k to write it, and 6 months later, voila, a book! Yay Rick Parry!!!!

statement! Yeah Obama has credentials that blows away...well just about EVERY person in the GOP! Funny that. Unless some lurker has major creds on a GOP, I would bet Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are the two smartest POTUS we've ever had.

intelligence are Romney and Paul, and Repubs are too stupid to nominate one of those guys. They want the conservative, idiotic bigots like Perry or Palin.
RE: smartest president ever, I'd put Carter and Nixon up there. Nixon was a real son of a bitch, but he had intelligence. And not just book smarts either, but street smarts. I'd say that Clinton, Nixon and Carter were the smartest, in that order.

2012 looks like a choice between a Neville Chamberlain-style coward and whichever double-digit IQ crazy person the right chooses to nominate. Neither will be remotely worthy of my vote.

The best thing we have going for us now is the fact that the Republicans are likely to nominate someone so extreme they will turn-off most of the swing-voters.

29. I think you've see alot of dems will just sit home and not vote |
|
Especially those from the base (you know those Obama has 'hippy-punched'/run the bus over). This does not mean Obama wont win. He'll just win by a close margin ONLY because many more think the repug changer will be worse.
You're also see a lot of dems not vote for him in the democratic primary's.
It's looking like the years after 2012-and-2014 will be interresting ones that will point the future for the democratic party.

yet not admit to it to friends or in public. I call it the "Rick Perry' effect, since I cannot find ONE person that voted for him in Texas! Even the Neocons I talk to say they hate him and didn't vote for Perry...well SOMEONE did!
