4. I think there's been enough Texas bashing on DU. We really do not need anymore. |
|
Since Texas can NOT secede from the union, your hypothetical is just silly nonsense. Texas does hold the right to break up into four smaller states - but we would still be part of the United States of America ;)
California has it's share of Republicans, just like Texas has quite a lot of Democrats.
Trying to make Texas the bad guy is an insult to all the Democrats that live here in Texas.
Have a great holiday weekend :)

11. One thing is certain - we'd have a pretty awesome flag |
|
Not that ours isn't wicked cool just the way it is, but mix in some of that nice blue you all have, and it would be a banner I'd be proud to flaunt over the sniveling pathetic wastelands lapping at the borders of mighty Calixas... ;)

7. Yeah, what happens to Arizona and New Mexico? |
|
It's not fair that Texas will get NM, and Cali gets stuck with AZ. Everyone in AZ should move to NM, and everyone in NM should move to AZ. It would be like Cali and Texas swapped spouses, and it worked better.

8. They can stay part of the US or become Texafornia/Califexas |

I just think the West should be its own entity in some way
Maybe not as a country, but as a voting bloc, or a farm league for goofy candidates (which it seems to be doing quite well)
