For those of you who like your tropical weather in pictures |
|
http://tropicwx.com/A nice collection someone has put together gathering info from many sources. Kind of a one page collection of every image you could want. I bookmark this and check it during hurricane season.

7. As a Floridian, a blizzard is much more scarier than a tropical storm. |
|
At least we are warm during a hurricane.

9. Yu can keep adding clothes and light a fire...but you can't take any more clothes off. |
|
So I'd much rather be too cold than tooooo damn hot!

10. We renovated our house in February up north |
|
They tore out the entire back of our house, and had to shut off electricity. We all slept by the fireplace. I was able to keep my food OUTSIDE in the cold, and snow. It didn't go bad. I had gas stove so I could still cook. I've also been without electricity with a hurricane. Much, much worse. Hot, and all your food goes bad. At least you can wear, and sleep in a winter coat (done that), but how do you cool off, or keep you food from spoiling in the heat? I'll take the blizzard any day.

11. so take off your clothes and go skinny dipping in the surf at night |
|
with a nice cooler full of beer on ice waiting for you when you get out
I'll take hot anyday over cold - I lived in Idaho for 10 years - - you live your beer outside in January and it freezes solid. What kind of hell is that?
Mankind is a tropical species, barefoot and naked in the summer is in our genes
