About the recommend feature.

Either it to disappear, stay the same or show both recommend and unrecommended counts.

I could go a bit further to add that if you where to post on the thread you either recommended or unrecommended it would be visible on that post.

5. Perhaps we should consider a different set of opposing vote options.

Instead of recommend and unrecommend, we could have:

funny and not funny,
argument present and argument absent,
pro-Christ and anti-Christ,
contains quotes from Caddyshack and does not contain quotes from Caddyshack,
Annoying use of smileys and pleasant use of smileys,
Too long; didn't read and too short to be an OP,
Team Edward and team Jacob,
etc.

Just a consideration. Instead of reading replies like "I see the unrec brigade is out in force," we can read replies like, "I see the smiley haters are out in force."
