I just took issue with the term "unvarnished truth" when describing opinion. I'm not usually anal retentive, but a few things really trip my trigger. I apologize if I came across as a jerk and commend you on the class with which you handled it.

Wait, no, there is another sad fact, a few people haven't take the trouble to know that they are lying, not that we need to do that considering the sources. All true, we all saw the interview and heard what he said. But where did he say that anyone had filed charges against the suspect?

You are aware that the police cannot arrest and charge someone simply because they received a complaint. The complainant has to be willing to file charges.
