WOW! Michele Bachmann reveals the SECRET to MILLIONS of HIGH PAYING jobs! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said Sunday that she was "open" to implementing Sarah Palin's suggestion that all corporate income taxes be abolished.

"I propose to eliminate all federal corporate income tax," Palin had said in a speech to the tea party in Iowa Saturday. "This is how we create millions of high-paying jobs... To eliminate any loss of federal revenues from this tax cut, we eliminate corporate welfare and all the loopholes, and we eliminate all the bailouts."

"We could go that route," Bachmann told CBS' Bob Schieffer Sunday. "If we went that route then we'd have to have a fundamental restructuring of the tax code. I'm open to having that debate... What we do know is that the current corporate tax rate is killing job creation."

"So you could see a way to do that?" Schieffer pressed.

5. She'd get rid of the loopholes AND get rid of all the taxes? No taxes means
you don't need loopholes, which are a deduction of the taxes you would otherwise pay.

Arithmetic! She's not good at it!

It's not like they aren't holding the highest profits in 60 years or anything, yet, where are the jobs?

13. I wonder where Palin and Bachmann get their scewy ideas.
Someone, who is just as cracked as they are, is giving them some very strange advice. People in Palin's audience actually applauded the idea. Disheartening to think we have truly become a nation of babbling idiots. Not too long ago if anyone had come up with such an idea they would have been calling for the straight jackets. What have people of this nation become, basket cases?

16. Now let me get this straight...
General Electric paid negative taxes last year--they received what, $175 million in tax rebates because of all the refundable credits they use?--and "had" to move a division to China to save money.

According to the Bachmann/Palin Scheme, the way to stimulate job growth is to eliminate corporate taxation in exchange for elimination of these refundable credits.

So...the way to get GE to create jobs in America is to raise their taxes by $175 million.

I think I understand: The newest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Illness is going to have a new condition, "Bachmannism," because they can't print "batshit insanity."

17. Schieffer pressed?
I'd like to see a follow-up question asking her to explain how the current corporate tax rate is killing job creation.

Also, maybe ask her, "Didn't we have the same corporate tax rates in 1997 and 1998 when over 3 million jobs were created each year? If corporate tax rates are killing job creation, then why didn't they do so in those Clinton years? Was it because George W. Bush raised taxes on corporations that we lost 4 million jobs in his last year in office?"

18. here's another funny little factoid
Federal revenues from corporate taxes (in billions of current dollars)

2006 - 353.9
2007 - 370.2
2008 - 304.3
2009 - 138.2
2010 - 156.7 (estimate)

My first assumption was that the taxes went down because corporate profits were down because of the recession, but I was wrong on that.

It turns out that there were tax acts passed in 2008, 2009 and 2010 by Democratic controlled congresses that actually cut corporate taxes. As detailed here http://www.bea.gov/national/#corporate

Well, I was going to say something about that, but I am not clear what the numbers mean as far as annual rates.

21. As if corporations were paying taxes...
Now if corporations were actually paying taxes, and because of the high tax rates they had little profits to reinvest, in such a fantasy world, taxes might stifle job creation.

Times like now, when corporations are very profitable, paying very little taxes on those profits, and sitting on literally trillions of dollars and not using these funds to create jobs, this entire notion is insane. Giving these entities more money when they aren't using the money they already have is pointless. They are sitting on trillions. If you reduce the tax rate on corporations to zero they will be sitting on trillions plus 0.156 trillion more. If 2.5 trillion is not enough for them to create jobs, why does Ms. Bachman believe 2.6 trillion will be?

We have learned that major corporations are not interested in creating American jobs. Decades of reduced tax rates has only sped up their march to overseas corporate offices and factories.
