8. His condemnation of the discourse is subtle beyond belief
What a brilliant analogy - using what we all do when someone dies in our own family.
Husbands, wives, life partners - Obama is so classy.

10. Real-time response from an RWer
Edited on Wed Jan-12-11 09:10 PM by derby378
"And he brings up the polarizing rhetoric line even though it had nothing to do with the shooting spree. Also, he lectures us to be humble."

Just brace yourselves, folks...

12. anyone who is worthy of the office of the presidency does and would do this
...which speaks volumes about someone else who cannot seem to do this if her political life depended upon it.

honestly, anyone here who thought Obama would use this as a way to divide already hostile factions doesn't quite get what is going on.

that's not his role, or the role of any president, and NO president would use a speech at such a time to attack his political opponents.

Even Bush didn't do anything of the sort regarding 9-11. He talked about unity among Americans.

15. The high road to the next attacks and the next crimes against civilized people
The "high road" refuses accountability and does nothing but encourage more of the same from the same knuckleheaded villains as always.

Same as it ever was with the same failed response to wicked, false, stupid, and wicked people.
