Anyone with more than one thought in his or her head can see that Michele Bachmann is not going to be the GOP nominee for President. She will continue to slip in the polls and will have to drop out of the race at some point. That point may be fast approaching, with senior members of her campaign organization stepping back from their leadership roles. So, what will she do in 2012?
Will she run again for her congressional seat in Minnesota? Given her swollen ego, that seems like a step back for her and one she may decide to skip. There is a US Senate seat that is up for election in Minnesota. Amy Klobuchar, though, has very broad bipartisan support and would be a difficult, if not unbeatable candidate in 2012. She's no progressive lion, but her voting record with the Democratic caucus is solid, and her accessibility and likability gains her a lot of moderate Republican votes.
Those are really Bachmann's only two choices if she drops out of the Presidential race. She could probably hold her congressional seat in the 2012 election, although her non-presence in the state and her inaction on issues that directly benefit her district could well make her vulnerable in her own district. So, what will she do? Perhaps she'll leave office and give up her political ambitions. That would be my choice for her next move.
See ya Michele...

Vincent Bugliosi speculated that at some future point, Susan Atkins would just start screaming, and never stop. I think it is likely that Bachmann will do that.

with some voters. Do they really believe what she says, or do they really enjoy her comedy routines? If they really believe it scares me to death. How can anyone who has studied history and has an ounce of patriotism for our country actually admire her? I know the fire and brimstone religious zealots think she is terrific. I hope MN votes her out.
