I'm trying to find the source of the guy's "information". He's pretty much dominating the comment threads on our local newspaper, seems to be available all day, every day; and he enjoys dumping these huge piles, without citation, into the conversation, thereby rendering any meaningful discussion well nigh impossible. Anyway, if you recognize a possible source please let me know? By the way, his screen name is "Obummer". Thanks for the help!

I would also have him or her prove that it was liberals. I would also specifically ask what he or she thinks a liberal is.

Most people like are clueless and ignorant. Chances are this person copied and pasted all this from some RW site. They can't think for themselves very well and require Palin's, Becks, and Limpballs to tell them what to think.

8. I would ask why the refusal to provide proof?

Are you afraid that your source won't hold up to scrutiny? Is there something you don't want anyone to know about where you got all this from?

Put him on the defensive and keep it up. I would constantly remind everyone that he is afraid to provide sources for his assertions.

Either he'll spend a long time looking for adequate sources for only some of his assertions or he'll provide some RW site listing them all. Either way, not everything will hold up and you can go from there.

I used a passive agressive approach when dealing with these types. It frustrated them a lot.
