Some of them have had to bug out, just leaving a fast message about going to a shelter. Most are staying put, TV on a local station, essentials packed and in the car. Because of all the road closures, many didn't go to work today.
It looks really bad because it is.

down on the lake in the early 80s, I read that they have subdivisions down there now and that area is on fire.
My brother still lives close to Barton Creek area
Never seen it so bad, including pictures of the lakes.
The photo made an impression on me.
