2. I'm not defending John McCain for even a milisecond, but he didn't "give" us Sarah Palin.
That's not how Presidential politics works.

7. Yes he did. If he hadn't have plucked her out of total obscurity...
..simply because she was a republican and had a uterus, she would still be the least known governor of a state known for it's crabs...

8. No. Party Leadership selected her. By all accounts, the two have no personal relationship whatever
The same is true of Joe Biden, fwiw.

12. The GOP picked her? That's not what I've read...
..regardless, that senile old bastard inflicted that braying harpy upon the country and as such shall never be forgiven. Ever.

5. Sarah Palin owes her notoriety to Hillary Clinton
The GOP was frantic to run a woman on the assumption Hillary would take the primary

9. McCain wanted Leiberman as his running mate.
It was William "wrong about everything he has ever said and done" Kristol who foisted Gov. Mooselini upon us...

10. But in the end, Leiberman was happy just driving the bus
Negotiating right turns was a new concept that required a new mindset which he quickly mastered.

11. Neither for that nor for being a complete hypocrite, non-hero jackass,
before, during and after picking Sarah Palin.

John McCain has ALWAYS been selfish, self-serving pond scum. How he ever convinced people otherwise is beyond me.

14. Not I because it was the
beginning of the idiotic Tea Party wing of the Republican Party. Prior to that, except for a few nuts, Republicans in Congress acted with a degree of responsibility.
