does anyone remember how long it took bush to visit 911 tower site |
|
It must be repuke day in the usa; everywhere you look 911 is the topic and bush with the bullhorn is the picture! MAYBE i'm getting old and my memory is failing but I thought it took gualiani's plea on national t.v to shame him out of hiding! I tried to google it and yahoo it to find out what the date was of this photo opt. was. I believe it was at least 3 days after 911! Is this how we change our historic facts? I mean come on people be aware of the media skew going on!

1. Had to wait to have his shorts hand-washed by AF1 staff. |
|
Then they had to pry him from under his desk.

The GOP media will make it known that Bush was right out there fighting the blaze with the rest of the firefighters (that's after he singlehandedly rescued a bunch of people)

|
and lots of articles and videos of the event popped up.

"Morale of rescue workers was boosted on September 14, 2001 when President George W. Bush paid a visit to Ground Zero." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rescue_and_recovery_effort_after_the_September_11_attacksI don't believe the Republican Mayor of NYC called out or "shamed" the Republican Bush on anything.

8. can anyone find giulianni's request for support |
|
everything I see has been edited to keep out the actual facts of the day. this is what I remember=a restaurant feeds the workers from the site for free, thousands sent money and food to help this restaurant and others open! several firefighters from my town went on their own to help at the site. the mayor was very vocal about the lack of anyone from washington helping out!(namely bush)

9. It's not the 3-digit "911," which is our emergency #; it is "9/11." |
|
Moreoever, your typing style is too annoying for me to continue.

10. W knew air quality at Ground Zero was highly toxic |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-07-11 07:51 AM by Divernan
The EPA initial report said it was highly toxic, but Bush's butt boy, James Connaughton, Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, forced Whitman/EPA to change the report to say it was safe to go back into the area - and that was because Bush et al wanted Wall Street up and running ASAP.
And make no mistake . . .
I want to be perfectly clear . . .
Lawyer Connaughton had a background in asbestos litigation, so knew full well that those buildings were packed with asbestos which had been vaporized by the collapse of the buildings and which posed tremendous dangers until the area was cleared and cleaned up.
As I recall, neither Bush nor Giuliani spent more than a few minutes at Ground Zero for their photo op.
