Office of Rep. Joe Walsh: “Mr. Walsh does NOT represent the nation as a whole… only Tea Party

Office of Rep. Joe Walsh to TPC reader: “Mr. Walsh does NOT represent the nation as a whole… he only represents the Tea Party, its members and its core principles.”
Posted on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 11:09 am by GottaLaff

One of our regular TPC readers and a Twitter pal, Wiccaspirits, who has contributed terrific information and conversations with notables in the past, is sharing yet another astonishing story with us.

This morning she called the offices of Joe Walsh and Jim DeMint. This is her account and commentary, verbatim, with minor edits:

<snip>

Person: Mr. Walsh does NOT represent the nation as a whole in congress, nor does he represent all of his constituents, he only represents the Tea Party, its members and its core principles. Mr. Walsh also does not believe that Obama is working and that he should be rather than talking to congress.

<snip>

Person: We here at Joe Walsh’s office do not believe there is an economic crisis and if there is one, it was created by the sitting president and not anyone else. Obama should stop using empty words and pass legislation. Obama should also be working more with the Tea Party and its members rather than continuing to follow the liberal media. Again Mr. Walsh represents the Tea Party of Illinois and its core beliefs. Thank you for calling and goodbye…click.

2. Good, then he'll refuse to draw a salary from the US Treasury.
The Tea Party Tightwads will have to dig into their poster board and marker funds to pay him.

7. So he doesn't represent the people who live in his district
unless they are teabaggers? I must have misunderstood what a member of the House of Representatives is supposed to do, which I thought was to represent the people of his district. All of them.

Silly me.

11. The Illinois Joe Walsh makes the South Carolina Joe Walsh positively
brilliant...

This Joe Walsh is the silver hair rude dude that Chris Matthews keeps putting on his show.

The way to deal with these ass holes is to ignore them, not feed their ego and btw, giving them video with Matthews only stokes his tea bagging followers, whom he represents exclusively to the detriment of his other constituents...

This guy should be run out of congress by both republicans and democrats. He is a disgrace to the institution.

14. So, Thrid Way folks, what is the proper compromise to offer
to Walsh? Tell us. What is your common ground with that? What 'middle way' do you propose to find with your pal Joey?

16. Oh really? No economic crisis, eh??
"We here at Joe Walsh’s office do not believe there is an economic crisis..."

These people are flipping loons of the highest order.

I still want to know how the heck a dead-beat dad like Walsh got elected? A guy blows off his obligations to his own kids but people think he is fit for congressional office? That is a huge WTF in my book.

22. This asshole represents all the people in his district. It doesn't matter what
party they come from. He is a childish crybaby. If everyone took that attitude of not showing the respect of the office could you see how the soldiers would react to that. I called my republican senator today and asked if he was going to the Obama speech. She said yes. I told her that it's one thing to not like the president but we all must respect the office of the president. I told her I didn't care for Bush but I listened to what he said because he was everyones president. I told her that people who weren't going were being childish and disrespectful and this wasn't the way the republicans were going to get reelected.

23. I've Been Passing That Comment Along To His Real "Constituents"
Here in the 8th District. This shitbag won by around 500 votes and barely represents anyone yet alone my district. Thanks to the Illinois legislature he's been districted away from the 8th (and hopefully back in blue hands in November) and will have to beat an establish, more popular rushpublican to keep his seat. The only people this douchenozzle speaks for are deadbeats.
