12. I realize that, but it would be good to get Perry on video tape |
|
receiving a check from Obama's hand and having to make some comments regarding about how lucky we are in this country to have a strong federal government that is able to step up and help it's citizens in times of unimaginable crisis. Given that most republican's suffer from severe short term memory loss, the moment should be recorded so their memories can be refreshed as needed on the campaign trail when they start their 'government can't do anything well', 'government has no business in disaster management', 'government is the problem', etc.
I understand it wouldn't be at all prudent, but ................ I can dream.

7. Doing something like that just isn't Obama's personality |
|
He probably thinks that approach would be too confrontational.

9. Sorry but I think that is ridiculous. |

In the past month or so President Obama has signed Emergency Declarations for approximately 20 states. Texas is no different than the other states that have had emergencies. Let Perry drag his butt up to DC to pick up the check ;)
p.s. Perry has been getting checks/funding from several different agencies/funds other than FEMA for the fires that have been taking place this year.

13. But...the other states are proud to be American. Texas Republicons want to secede |

and take every opportunity to trash the United States of America.
That's the difference. That's one of many reasons why Americans are so profoundly skeptical and mistrustful of Republicons: they act like they hate America and our national government, and now they have their hands out.
Yes, America will help. But the Repulicon A-holes who are whining and biting the American hand that helps them make it a distinctly unpleasant duty.

10. Perry should ask the Koch brothers |
|
for the money. If he hates the Federal government so much maybe he can get his money from the private sector. At least it would be consistant.

17. Almost, he should show up with hundreds of US government |
|
workers to assist: not a check, hundreds of firefighters which had lost their jobs now employed by FEMA as emergency workers.
