What do y'all think of Buddy Roemer? |
|
I only know him from Colbert and TDS. Gotta admit, if he's sincere about not taking huge corporate donations, he's on to something. That is the main problem with our elected leaders. I know he's for offshore drilling, and that's not good. (All the candidates do really.) I WILL NOT vote for a Republican, but he sounds like a decent man and I give credit where credit is due.
Anybody know much about him?

He is onto something, but he is a rare critter indeed, a moderate repub...he sounds more lefty than a few dems ... Who used to be Republicans.

5. Well, he pointed, rightfully so, the finger at both sides |
|
I wonder if he realizes why, citizens united, but he did point at both.

2. I saw him on Rachel last night and got some interesting impressions, myself. |
|
He strikes me as an old school Repub: I disgaree with him on most issues, but he seems sane enough that he can be worked with.

16. Strangely enough that DOES actually describe old school R's: |
|
We disagree with them but they don't want to slit our throats and light us on fire for doing so. Sometimes they'd actually concede a few things. Can you imagine that nowadays? I can't, just being honest.
Me gusta tu nick. Me da mucha risa, eso. Yo lo llame simplemente HP. :D

10. He makes some sense on some issues. I totally agree w/ him on campaign finance except |
|
he supports disclosure (only) whereas I don't think that would impact our stupid voters (they wouldn't care who donated to who and how much), so I think federal financing is the only way to go. But at least he's conscious of it and not a $1 million-check guy. I do respect that.

to normal for the tea party. He'll never make it. Really sad. Both he and Huntsman are pretty normal guys.

17. Senators Scott Brown and Joe Manchin seem to be decent men too, BUT |
|
they are also Republicans and need to be voted OUT of office. Some republicans are not as crazy as others, but they are still republicans and must go!

Of course, he can afford to tell the truth since the big corps aren't backing him anyway.
