Two Repubs hurt themselves by their actions today.
1. Palin tried to make herself the victim and stuck her foot in it. Since she is incapable of admitting she was wrong or having any kind of nuance, she will ratchet up the crazy and make herself look worse. She can't get over the Couric interview, how will she get over her blood libel debacle?

2. Boehner decided that collecting those checks to pass out and hitting the open bar was more important than a memorial service attended by everyone. Tucson just became Boehner's Katrina. His inaction will haunt him like the photo of W flying over New Orleans. He has weakened his "leadership." Anyone have a picture of him with a drink in his hand? How about one of him with a drink in hand, looking out of a plane window?

2. I don't think it's his Katrina, but it certainly hurt his leadership by not attending...
He'll recover from the blunder.
