They set up a HQ in Benghazi, and also traveled to other cities. At last count, iirc, they totaled 9 or 14 people.

Thanks to their work, U.S. officials felt confident enough that they "knew" the rebels to grant recognition to the NTC.

The "we don't know these guys" meme is as old and stale and false as the "stalemate" meme. We saw what happened to the latter, but the former continues to be repeated and they somehow get away with it.

I heard some "experts" say they felt she knew she couldn't win, was just working to get her name out there so she could rake in the $$$ like Palin, but I disagree. I think she really felt she had a good chance to win -- not only the primary, but the general. Just my sense of her.
