Watched the 'debate' and was appalled at how Perry exhibited his ignorance and inability to verbalize. He comes across as crass and mean at the same time. Amazing that the GOP would even entertain committing someone like Perry to the presidency.

does it include the man who lost his whole family in a fire and they pinned it on him? Apparently, it was shoddy investigation and when a fire expert stated that the fire was not man made, apparently, Perry ignored the findings and executed the man anyway. You know, the more I think of those who little boots executed and now Perry, the more I'd hate to be an innocent railroaded in Texas. It says nothing for their judicial system or investigative skills--but, they sure value human life, the life they deem valuable.

23. I've posted this before - but Molly Ivins even said that! |
|
She said that despite her use of the "Shrub" term, she thought Bush was actually intelligent and shouldn't be taken for granted. She also thought him personally likable. She said at the same time that it clearly was NOT the case with the current governor (Rick Perry) who she called all sorts of names - but all indicating he was TRULY an idiot. Take it from a smart Texan - and Molly was one of the sharpest of them all!

I don't think Perry believes most of the tea party rhetoric he spews. Do you really think he and his backers sit around their boardrooms talking about all that crap? NO. No more than they cared about prayer in the schools, abortion, or any of the other hot button issues that gave their low income constituency the illusion that they had a voice and that their conservative religious beliefs could rule the day. This, a group who had lived so long as disenfranchised and unheard. Heady stuff. Of course their agenda was not achieved through Bush and many were disappointed and angry. Bushco, instead, focused on their real agenda - and we know all too well what that was. It's all slight of hand. Focus on their figureheads if you like. Maybe you need to feel right and superior more than you need the truth. Call him names as we've done with Bush only to watch those behind the curtain deconstruct our government and country to suit themselves. If you consider what the Bushco agenda really was and what they achieved in such a short time, then I'd say they outsmarted and stepped on all those who were pissing in the wind about how stupid they were. Very dangerous thing to do....

I don't think I've ever heard Perry speak a full sentence, so the stupid I know is only from what I read here. Do you know if there is a (short) clip from last night I might watch?
