But the third might.

2. I just felt sick reading these.
We must keep fighting these bastards over and over...

How do we stomp their ideas out forever? That's rhetorical, BTW...I know we can't.

19. Winning wins
Sounds silly, I know but what I mean is: show people we have the compassion and resources to take care of each other and we'll win the debate every time.

No credible voice wants to go back to child labor or segregation. Those debates are won. We can win this too.

13. ALEC model legislation-hot off the boilerplate.
Bet you will soon see 'voter disenfranchisement' soon too.:puke:
Those ALEC bought and paid for legislators can't wipe their own ass w/out checking in with their owners to see if it's OK.

21. Yet it's the initiative process that will kill them
They get to qualify for the ballot, but they'll fail at the ballot box. Californians occasionally get fooled (Jarvis and Prop 13), but they won't buy this crap.

27. Just like we didn't get fooled about prop 8... oh wait...
The prop system needs to go away, and the state needs a statewide constitutional convention. It really has gotten that bad.

25. Damnit!
If they get enough signatures (they will as we have scads and scads of "low-information voters") I know what I'll be doing next election. I was already going to work for the marijuana legalization initiative. I may have to double up.

29. The group responsible for this garbage is CA center for public policy.
Here is a link to their request, I found it by googling the contact number on the SoS site.
http://www.californiacenterforpublicpolicy.com/ca-reform-1.pdf
It happens to contain what appears to be the full text of the measures (plus Lanny's home address in Santa Barbara).

I had no idea that you could fuck every employee in the state for 200$, it's amazing that you can get a shot at that much ass for such a paltry sum.

According to their front page:
"The California Center for Public Policy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to non-partisan public dialogue and research in a variety of areas of California public policy. These include public employee compensation, education, energy and economic issues.

The purpose of the Center is to identify workable policy solutions to societal issues."

non-partisan... sure. Even though the oldest article I can find about you is from 2010 and the only thing you've done is start the process to get these three initiatives onto the ballot.

I also found this while poking around:
http://santabarbaranewspressblogcom.blogspot.com/2011/05/taxes-death-and-trouble.html
Apparently Lanny has his houses in Eureka in foreclosure, so he wants to stick it to the unions. Typical. Or maybe someone is helping him out for his wonderful service to the conservative cause.

What's really sick about this is that he calls himself a Dr. on the org home page, yet this bill specifically targets nurses. Makes me wonder if they did something extra special to piss him off.
"Eliminates collective bargaining rights for teachers, nurses, police officers, firefighters, and other public employees."
