2. How many of that 34 percent
believe the earth is only 10,000 to 6,000 years old??

Perhaps a better way to frame the debate is to ask them if they are okay that
their air is more polluted each day, there is less clean water for them to drink,
that their soil is being contaminated by industry more each day.
These are things I think they can understand better.

Scientist ‘Gobsmacked’ At Disappearance of Major Greenland Glacier

The great Texas Governor Rick Perry has smartly aligned himself with Galileo Galilei, that Renaissance maverick who famously took on the scourge known as "the scientific community." And we could surely use Galileo's science-debunking savvy now more than ever, huh, Rick? What with Dr. Alun Hubbard — who purports to be a "leading glaciologist" (whatever THAT is) — claiming that Greenland's Petermann Glacier has all but melted away faster than anyone could ever have predicted.

5. I'm just suprised as many as 34% believe it.
I would've thought more like 2-4% with the level of intelligence they've exhibited. x(

7. Interesting..and troubling
Especially this portion:

Q226. In my ideal society, all basic needs (food, housing, health care, education) would be
guaranteed by the government for everyone.

-------------------Nat'l Avg------
Strongly Agree------15
Somewhat Agree----31
----------------------------
46

Somewhat Disagree-24
Strongly Disagree---31
----------------------------
55

So much for 'love thy neighbor'. For that matter, so much for a vision of a better society. Sad.

BTW..do you have a link to the full poll? Looks like a Pew Charitable Trust product. I'm also curious if any question like Q226 above was asked of folks, say, 30-40 years ago.

8. This Explains The Doubled Down Crazy Last Night...
...and at all the other rushpublican "debates". Those are the people who will be deciding who the nominee is. The more detached from reality the better and why a Parry is in a strong position right now and Mittens, despite all the corporte media love, isn't.
