If you ever wanted to be close to the HAVES of the world
that group of people President Obama was speaking to in the room was a conglomeration of them.

Millionaires extraordinaires.

The rest of us, serfs mainly, watched hopefully in anticipation of great things. We shall see.

1. I go to spend a day in the realm of the Have-Mores on vacation
And I never forgot it. Glittery, shiny, amazing...and built on slave labor and "laws are for the little people."

Their lifestyles are so removed from ours that we may as well not be the same species. No matter that people are dying around the world from disease, poverty, natural disasters or anything else...in their world, everything is perfect...and woe to anyone who disturbs that perfection.

2. Maybe they would pass a tax bill to increase taxes on the wealthy,
if they could cut themselves a deal... Obviously the greedy bastards don't want to pay taxes into the nation's treasury to pay for the wars they authorize. So, let them cut themselves a deal, and be able to stick it to the rest of the millionaires and billionaires... Many people, if having the power to decide how much of their money they want to pay into the system, would choose not to a lot. So, let them give themselves a deal like they do with their healthcare and retirement benefits and maybe then they would feel more powerful and hold their wealthy donor's feet to the flame. They could say, if you don't do x, y, z, then a special tax would be created to essentially take the other greedy asses out. The reality is that, while most in congress are wealthy, they are not the wealthiest. Many are beholden to the special interest groups and the other wealthy people and corporations. Perhaps, if they stopped acting as the wealthiest's "whipping boy", they might actually accomplish something noble, like making a better country for everyone. Then again, many are extremely vile and don't want to share anything with anyone.. especially someone who is different in color, religion, or is gay.
