No more speeches.
Just do what he says he's going to and call it good.

2. Disagree.
His speeches are very effective, but they never turn out to be true.

3. I wish it wasn't in this format though. Talk to the public, not to Congress!

4. I don't think anyone has ever said he can't give a good speech
It's the fiery rhetoric followed by the obligatory "compromise" that always ends with the epic cave that tends to piss some of us off.

5. I think he's the very best when he's speaking extemporaneously, but
he sure can give a hell of a speech!

6. He will now. Had he all along, the public would be burned out on him. Now they're craving.

8. Who cares. I used to drop whatever I was doing to listen to his every word.
Now I don't even bother. Action speaks louder than words.

He seems to like the technocratic approach of working behind the scenes and operating the levers of power. It should be clear by now the Republicans will block everything and grind his positions down through endless hostage taking if he continues governing in that style.

If President Obama is serious about making actual change he needs to take his case directly to the public and make Republicans fear electoral consequences. It's the bully pulpit and the only way to make them move.
